Adding your first venue – quick overview and preparation

Written by Paula Straume

Now that you've already created a business account, you can continue with adding your venue. Follow the step-by-step guide 👇🏼

1. Select or create an organization

If you have already created an organization before, you will see a list of your organizations in this view.

  • Select the organization your venue belongs to

  • If you wish, you can also add a new organization here

If you created an organization in the previous step, feel free to continue with that same organization.

2. Check that the organization is correct

Before adding a venue, we recommend double-checking that the selected organization is definitely the one this place belongs to. This helps avoid confusion later, especially if you have several different venues or companies.

3. Prepare your information

Before you start setting up your venue, it's worth thinking through and preparing the following:

  • Venue name and description

  • Illustrative photos

  • Layout and capacity of the spaces

  • Location

  • Catering options

  • Prices and rules

  • Booking and usage terms

The better your information is prepared, the faster and more smoothly you can set up your venue.

4. Review the rules and terms

Before continuing, be sure to review Venueplace's rules and terms and confirm your agreement to them. Only then can you proceed with adding your venue.

5. The structure of adding a venue

Setting up a venue consists of 7 steps. Not all steps are required.

The required steps are:

  • Venue details

  • Adding spaces

  • Creating packages

The optional steps are:

  • Accommodation

  • Catering

  • Entertainment

  • Additional services

So you can fill in only the steps that are relevant to your venue. After adding and saving the initial information, you will land on your venue's dashboard.

Good to know: you can edit, add to, and delete your venue's details, photos, and any other information at any time. So if you don't have the very best photos and descriptive texts ready during the initial setup, don't worry – you can change everything later at your own pace.
